“Borgo dell’Arte” Cultural Association finds its purpose in promoting cultural development.

Created in Artena (RM), in August 2014, the Association gives prominence to protect and value historical and cultural heritage of its native territory.

The collaboration with the municipality of Artena has brought to the creation of “Museikè – Musical Instrument Museum”. The project has been developed for the safeguard and diffusion of both music and tradition heritage.

Museikè isn’t just a musical instrument museum. It represents a multidisciplinary cultural centre, a place of gathering and social building, where traditions meet and merge with our times.

The centre hosts a rich multimedia archive, focused on sounds and oral traditions of ethno-pastoral music. In addition, it offers didactic opportunities as laboratories and guided tours, designed for adults and children of any school age. Didactics extends to both theoretical and practical use of folk instruments, and lessons are open to everyone.
Thanks to its experience in folk music field, Borgo dell’Arte Association can present a collection of excellent teachers and partners.

Furthermore, Museikè activities provide concerts, lectures, stages and a variety of cultural events.
